KÁNTIKO! started in 2010, but not as a praise band. Daniel “Papo” Torres & Joel “Chino” Jiménez met each other at the bar scene.  After working together for more than 4 years in a secular band, they began to come back to Christ. Their friendship continued and they would come together to minister at various special church events and/or different occasions. Lead Singer, Daniel “Papo” Torres, had begun to record his solo Christian albums, both in Pop and in Salsa. The band got together to accompany him for a special church presentation. After seeing such a positive response, KÁNTIKO! decided it was time to officially begin this ministry as one band.

 

 

 

 

¡KÁNTIKO! Comenzaron en 2010, pero no como una banda de alabanza. Daniel "Papo" Torres y Joel "Chino" Jiménez se conocieron en la escena del bar. Después de trabajar juntos durante más de 4 años en una banda secular, comenzaron a regresar a Cristo. Su amistad continuó y se unirían para ministrar en varios eventos especiales de la iglesia y / o en diferentes ocasiones. El cantante principal, Daniel "Papo" Torres, había comenzado a grabar sus álbumes solistas cristianos, tanto en pop como en salsa. La banda se juntó para acompañarlo a una presentación especial de la iglesia. Después de una respuesta tan positiva, ¡KÁNTIKO! decidió que era hora de comenzar oficialmente este ministerio como una sola banda.
